Terms and Conditions for Tournament Participation

Welcome to South Mumbai Chess School (SMCA Chess School). By participating in our tournaments, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions:

1. Eligibility and Registration

Eligibility: Only students enrolled in SMCA Chess School programs who meet the skill and age requirements for the tournament are eligible to participate.

Registration: Registration must be completed through the SMCA Chess School administration team. All deadlines and required documentation must be submitted as specified by the school.

2. Training and Support

Preparation: SMCA Chess School offers specialized training sessions to help students prepare for tournaments. Participation in these sessions is highly encouraged.

Coaching: While our coaches will be available for guidance, participants are expected to compete independently during the tournaments.

3. Conduct Expectations

Sportsmanship:All participants are expected to display integrity, respect, and professionalism. Any form of unsportsmanlike conduct or rule violations will result in disqualification.

Fair Play: Participants must follow all tournament rules and regulations. Cheating or unethical behavior is strictly prohibited..

4. Communication

Updates:SMCA Chess School will provide updates regarding tournament schedules, results, and any changes. It is essential for participants and parents to stay informed by checking these updates regularly.

Feedback:After the tournament, coaches will provide feedback to help participants understand their performance and identify areas for improvement.

5. Fees and Expenses

Registration Fees:Any fees associated with tournament registration will be communicated in advance. These fees are the responsibility of the participants or their guardians.

Additional Expenses: Participants are responsible for covering their travel, accommodation, and any other expenses related to the tournament.

6. Withdrawal and cancellation

Withdrawal: If a participant needs to withdraw from a tournament, they must notify SMCA Chess School as soon as possible. Please be aware of the withdrawal policies and potential fees, which may vary depending on the tournament.

Cancellation: If a tournament is canceled or changes are made, SMCA Chess School will promptly inform all participants and provide instructions on the next steps.

7. Health and Safety
